So this is probably my favourite book I've ever made
I decorated with papers from a Magik graphics CD-ROM called The Alchemist
I made a little wizard hat and put on top and printed off a little marauders map and added that to the top.
The broomstick was made with a doweling rod coloured in with a brown alcohol pen. I used bits of an old flower decoration and cut into little twigs, and secured with glue and gold coloured thread.
Then simply attached a gold ribbon and a deed a little gold leaf embellishment to the bow on the front.

Beginners bookfolding tutorial YouTube video
So I've been very busy, I've added a new video to the crafty bev's bookfolding YouTube channel
It's called How to do bookfolding for beginners, it's quite an in depth tutorial covering how to do a basic book fold and the common questions that people who are starting out have
Materials used were quite simply
A 30cm ruler
A mechanical pencil, although any pencil will do
Bone folder
Long piece of ribbon or a large rubber band
A book to fold
And a pattern to work from
Ok enough of me waffling on here's the video link, and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel x.

There's no place like home book fold
Here is my finished book, it was supposed to be wizard of oz themed ....... But when I went into the day shop I saw a paper that went so well with the theme of the book I changed my mind lol, I got the sample from home base armed with my trusty scissors and elastic bands took a nice long bit especially for the book. I'm sure that pretty soon they will have a poster of my face up in the shop saying look out for this lady! She's thieving all of our wallpaper.
We'll here is the finished book, complete with some kudesama flowers that there is a link to on another post.
The book was for my sister for her birthday and she was so pleased with it, it was an uncut 3 liner pattern 1200 pages. I think it was from etsy

Kusudama Floweres
Here is a little tutorial for the Kusudama flowers that I use a lot of the time to decorate my book folds. This is not my own tutorial but i thought i would share. They look complicated but after youve made a few of these you will be able to make them with your eyes closed.
I use a glue gun to stick the individual petals together and also to attach each petal together to make the complete flower.
You can make them with 5 or 6 petals depending on how many you want.

We're all mad here. Bookfold
We'll it took me quite some time to fold this pattern, it is a cut 2 liner which means the pattern has 4 measurements per fold instead of the usual 2. Then the entire book is cut 2.5 inches into the page at 10.5 cm down.
What you end up with is a fantastic 2 liner pattern, it is essentially folding 2 mini books into the same book fold.
Here is the finished fold, next will come the fun part .... Decorating

first 2 liner book fold
So, I had planned this week to decorate some of my folds that are taking up space in my craft room and to do a couple of tutorials, but I have yet to do a cut 2 liner book fold.
So I've bit the bullet, designed my own pattern on bookami pattern creating software and am attempting my very first cut 2 liner.
The idea came for it as I love all things Alice in wonderland, so I designed a pattern in a lovely Alice in wonderland don't that says "we're all mad here". A very fitting sentiment in my house. I will post a pic when it's done and maybe even the pattern as a little freebie download, just need to test it myself to make sure it works.
